The papers contain the typescript of "Can English be taught?" The bulk of the collection consists of letters to Carlton F. Wells and an occasional letter from Wells to Eaton. Miscellaneous material includes advertisements for "Prophet of America" by Newton Dillaway and "The cow that lived in a house" by Eaton, and a statement regarding a theater in East Haddam, Conn.
